Ooohoo, I was able to complete the water today on this pastel painting! The client is quite pleased with it and so am I. Now, to the daunting task of carefully packing this precious cargo for shipping...
Colette, we rec'd the portrait of CC and it's stunning. Your instincts about the pose to use for the portrait, and your interpretation of the source photo were right on the money. Thank you so much for your help throughout the process. You were always accessible and always knew just what to do to capture the essence of CC at the beach that afternoon. CC was such a big part of our lives and we miss her terribly but this is a wonderful remembrance of our special girl that we will always treasure.
Fabulous! The water looks great.
ReplyDeleteThank you for your compliment Kari!

ReplyDeleteHeather, thanks! It was a challenge but I think I succeeded in making it look a bit realistic.
ReplyDeleteYou did a fantastic job, Colette! And I agree with everyone else about the water, it looks amazing!
