Painting of roseate spoonbills preening

I'm slowly progressing with this pastel bird painting...the feathers are taking me forever it seems. The bottom spoonbill is almost completed and I really hope that the rest of the painting will be a breeze! Still have a log , rock and water with reflections to do, not to mention the rest of the bird's feet and legs.

  4. Thnx Peter! Yes, I actually was able to accomplish much more on the foreground tonight...needed a break from all those pink feathers!

  5. This is lovely, Colette. Love the greens and rose-tones together. (I am struggling with the same thing right now; work on feathers that I think is going to extend into eternity!)
