Peacock painting almost done!

This peacock painting is coming along great and I am very happy as to how it is turning out so far. My favorite part has to be the iridescent feathers and how the subtle violet and green shades shine through the blues (albeit hard to tell from this scan).
Only a bit more left to do on the foreground and the bird's foot and it should be ready to frame and hang. One more painting for my upcoming fall show!

This just gets better and better, Colette. Again, love the detail.....esp. that little do-dad (sorry - lololol - I don't know what it is called!) that is coming out of the top of his head! So nice - great blues.

Glad you like it Lynda, thanks for commenting. I believe that "little do-dad" is called a crown...quite fitting for such a regal looking bird don't you think?

Hi Colette, I just love this piece!! I really like the composition. Your work is wonderful, I hope to try a Pastel piece very soon. I work mostly with Colored pencils but recently took a pastel workshop from Lesley Harrison and fell in love with the medium. Love your work!! Gemma
