Slowly but surely, this sweet little dog is "coming to life" on paper. The most difficult aspect of this painting will be to depict the coat's colors and markings. There's lots more work left to be done but this is my last update for today. Have a good evening!
I'm excited to see the end result. You too have inspired me to start in another genre, animals. I had a thought for a drawing of a wild wolf pack. Although time consuming, practicing the fur is beneficial as I can see from your work. Not a flaw in sight!

Rita, I understand your desire to draw other genres and I believe it keeps the creative juices flowing...I will be working on a combination human/dog portrait in the future so it should be challenging! Thanks for your comments; they are always appreciated!
