Miniature bird painting on the easel

I started another miniature tonight of a favorite bird; the black capped chickadee. I am trying out a new "suede" paper by Art Spectrum and I prefer it over any other sandpaper I have tried thus far. It has a buttery smooth surface like no other I have seen, yet with still enough tooth to allow for multiple layers of pastel.

  1. This is already shaping up to be as delicate and soft as your last chickadee painting!

  2. I agree with Laurene. It seems that with chickadees, you really have the touch. It makes me want to do another chickadee painting also. Great work.

  3. Thanks Laurene and John; there are still areas I want to retouch that I am not satisfied with so it may change a little!
