Pastel Painting of squirrels update

I am sure finding it difficult to stay put and work in this piece for more than a half hour at a time. Unfortunately, this always seems to happen when I work on larger pieces.

It's better than nothing but I managed to fill a few more square inches of the painting today. I was getting tired of working on the dried maple leaves and bark so I decided to lift my spirits a little and start working on the squirrel in the snow.

  5. I know it can be a hard slog Colette, but I'm sure lots of people - me included - are keen to see it completed because it's looking so good. Hang in there!

With my own painting efforts, I've been trying lately to set an achievable goal for the day before I make a start. I don't always get there for one reason or another, but I find that setting a daily target helps.

  7. Thanks Peter for the encouragement and tip. I'll have to try setting smaller goals for myself.

As for your painting, it's coming along great. And I totally understand you getting tired of working on the rocks!

Sally, thank you for being so patient and your kind words. With so many people watching and waiting, it should give me a boost to the finish line soon.
