Horse Pastel Painting update

In this step, I pretty much have completed the horse's neck and mane.  During the next sitting, I move on to the shoulder and leg area before adding the reins last.

  1. Wonderful----I have been watching this painting and can't wait to see more. I love snaffle-bit colts and ridding with a snaffle as its usually young horses, and its so interesting. This is beautiful work. Will there be some sort of background color? I will be back to see!

  2. Thanks Ida! Glad you are enjoying the wip's. As for the background, the client may opt to leave it as is (which is the green mottled effect of the suede) but the original idea was for me to add some green tints to it.
