You can imagine my surprise when, a few weeks ago, I received an email from the editor of The Pastel Journal informing me that my pastel painting had won an Honorable Mention in the 14th Annual Pastel 100 Competition (animal/wildlife category). An image of my winning painting is slated to appear in the April 2013 issue!!
I cannot reveal just yet which painting made the cut so you will have to wait until the publication comes out next spring.
