Daylily Flower Painting in Pastel SOLD!

I love working pastel on velour paper. Here's another variation of the daylily flower from my garden.  Because it produces so many blooms, the plant seems to never stop flowering, even though each individual flower only lasts one day.

Art in Bloom

Next Sunday, I will be exhibiting at the Canadian Mental Health "Art In Bloom" Show and Strawberry Social to take place at The Minnow Lake Centre, Sudbury. I was asked to donate a piece for the silent auction and since spring flowers are blooming everywhere, I thought the folowing painting would fit the theme well...

Orange Daylily Painting (pastel)

I've been wanting to work a smaller piece and so was able to complete this one in only one day! I was dying to try my new set of Koh-I-Noor Toison D'Or Extra Soft Pastels and I absolutely loved the smoothness and richness of colors.
